THE DIVINE BREAKTHROUGH
While she was doing her Ph.D., it was difficult
for her to balance work and life, mainly due
to the mounting marital problems. Eventually,
she fell into a deep depression. She felt like
she was riding a roller coaster in the dark
and felt lifeless, empty, and sleepless. Born a
Christian, it seemed like even God abandoned
her, with no answers to her fervent prayers for
two long decades. Self-pity, bitterness, hurt,
and questions began to taunt her. “Is God
fair? Why is the all-loving, all-powerful, and
all-knowing God, not coming to her rescue?”
These questions kept pounding her heart and
she wished for death every moment.Around
that time, she developed a high temperature,
which turned into severe pneumonia.
When she was admitted to Mallya hospital
Bangalore in March 2004, one of her lungs
became dysfunctional. Antibiotics could not
save her other lung, too, and she was put on a
ventilator. In a desperate situation vacillating
between life and death, God intervened in a
dramatic manner. A supernatural presence
was felt at the ICU; she saw the Cross and
the Blood of Jesus Christ washing away all
her sins. She heard a divine voice saying to
her thrice – “I am giving you a new life.” All
the five days on the ventilator, she felt the
strong presence of God engulfing her. God
healed her physically, mentally, emotionally,
and spiritually.
